LifeSpring program provides transitional housing and intensive services for young adults age 18-24 as they make the move from foster living to full independence. For many of these clients, this will be their first Thanksgiving in their own apartment living on their own. Donors and volunteers are needed to put together To-Go meals for clients to pick up the day before Thanksgiving.
Organize and Distribute Meals: volunteers pick up pre-cooked meals from a local restaurant and deliver to Lifeline’s Vista Campus. Spend time breaking down and allocating appropriate portion sizes based on family size and distribute to clients on 11/23
Details: approximately 45-50 meals needed, family sizes vary from 1-4 persons (although most are 1).
*We are also fundraising $500 to help cover the cost of the meals. If you are interested in donating or sponsoring this event, please donate online (https://www.nclifeline.org/donate-to-program) and select “Thanksgiving Meals” from the drop down menu.
