La Casita is set up as an early intervention program for at-risk youth and provides services for (on average) 30 children ages 6 to 12 on a daily basis. The site is a safe space for children to go to when released from school. On the last Friday of the month* we have pre-planned, scheduled STEM related activities and labs perfect for curious minded volunteers to do with the kids. We provide the instructions and supplies; you provide the creativity and guidance! This project is best suited for small volunteer groups to sponsor together, please sign up ONLY as part of a team. (8 to 16 volunteers needed)(Oceanside, CA) *dates may differ/be updated based on program needs & other priorities.
